Pre-Season Game/Nebraska Flooding

It is an incredibly tough time for many of our Nebraska neighbors, our players, coach’s and fans. Most everyone across the state has personal ties to someone affected by flooding. The pictures and stories are heartbreaking, and are more horrific in person. The Nite Hawks have decided to cancel our pre-season game this Saturday, March 23rd at 5pm to allow our players, coaches, staff, as well as our fans, time to focus on what is important. We need time to help our families and neighbors recover and be Nebraska Strong.

A number of the Nite Hawk players, staff and coach’s, will be volunteering their time to assist with flood relief on Saturday instead. The Nite Hawks will be assisting the Salvation Army, a WNFC partner, at their Disaster Relief center organizing and distributing donations to those in need.

We will reschedule our non league game for either March 30th, May 25th, June 1st or 8th. As soon as we have confirmation that roads are safe to travel for our guests, a new event will be posted.

Anyone who has purchased a ticket to our preseason game on March 23rd can use the ticket for admittance to any of our WNFC season games or the rescheduled game.

In an effort to extend relief, our April 6th WNFC opponent, the Denver Bandits, will be assisting with our flood relief efforts. They will be holding a bottled water drive in Denver to deliver to us in Nebraska on April 6th. To add to the Denver Bandits goodwill, the Nite Hawks will be adding to the drive by offering a special discount to those who bring a case of water or other specified donation to our April 6th game. More details will be posted soon.

If you are unable to attend our April 6th game, but would like to help with flood relief, please visit This Link for more ways to assist.

As a reminder to those traveling, please check 511.org or Waze prior to driving into the state of Nebraska. Currently over 200 roads are impassable; covered with water or have been washed away.

Our deepest sympathies go out to all who have been affected. We stand with you and hope to help you during your time of need.
